Official routes

How to request this

  1. Confirm Southwest initiated the cancellation or significant change and that you want the unused fare, not a LUV Voucher.
  2. GDS/agency tickets and Southwest Vacations use separate reviewed routes. Start with the seller who issued the ticket.
  3. File the ticket refund first if the fare is unused. Keep expense or voucher requests on the other form.
  4. Reviewed Southwest expense and voucher windows are one year. A voucher is not cash.

Questions

Is a LUV Voucher the Southwest refund policy for a cancelled flight?

No. Reviewed Southwest pages treat ticket refunds, expense reimbursement, and LUV Vouchers as separate products.

I booked through an agent. Do I use southwest.com?

Reviewed help gives GDS agents separate waiver instructions. Start with the seller.
